What is the cooling principle of wet curtain?

Wet curtain (water curtain) cooling mainly uses the physical principle that water absorbs heat in the air during water evaporation to reduce the air temperature. In practice, it is used together with a negative pressure fan. The wet curtain is installed on the gable or side wall at one end of the closed house, and the fan is installed on the gable or side wall at the other end. The cooling fan draws out indoor air, producing negative pressure to force outdoor air to flow through the surface of the porous wet curtain, so that a large amount of heat in the air is converted to reduce the air entering the room by 10-15 ℃, And constantly introduce indoor heatstroke prevention.

The heat absorption of water evaporation is a very common physical phenomenon in nature. The principle is also applied to the cooling of water curtain. The comprehensive application of wet curtain cooling system and negative pressure fan makes use of the thermal principle of the heat absorption of water evaporation to cool the air, which fully demonstrates the three elements of the heat absorption principle of water evaporation:

1. Surface area of water in contact with air

2. Air velocity

3. Temperature of water itself

And the heat absorption efficiency of water evaporation is proportional to the above factors

1. Under the action of the water pump and gravity, the water forms a folded water film with a total area of more than 10 times of the apparent area of the water curtain on the corrugated fiber surface of the wet curtain from top to bottom, so the contact area between the water film and the air is very large.

2. Due to the "air pressure difference" caused by the suction of the negative pressure fan, the outdoor air will quickly bypass the cooling water curtain and collide with the water film of the water curtain, so that the heat in the air can be quickly absorbed by a wide area of water film.

3. When the water temperature rises, evaporation will intensify. When evaporation intensifies, the heat carried away by water will increase. That is, the cooling effect is more obvious.
